1999 APHA Overo Stallion

CLEARLY ZIPPIN, aka Willie, is truly the SUNSHINE at Sunglow Acres. Willie impresses everyone that meets him with his pleasant and gentle disposition.  How many 12 year old stallions do you know that are still out there actively out showing?  Since earning superior awards in Jr. Western Pleasure, and Am. Western Pleasure, Top 10 at the Congress in 2004, Willie is now competing in Trail, Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle, and English Equitation classes.  As the 2011 show year closed, our National points total has risen again. We are now at 337 APHA National points, earning our ROM in Amatuer Trail and ROM in Nov Am. Horsemanship. I found out that we are 7 points away from our Versitility award. HUMMMM!

2012 Breeding Information

 
Our breeding dates are between Feb 10 to May 25.   We will NOT be breeding April 20nd thru April 23th as well as Memorial Weekend.  Willie will be attending the Nebraska Spring Show and the Iowa Memorial Show.  Special consideration for breeding after June 1st.  Late breeding's are not problem unless they would happen to overlap with a scheduled horse show.
  • 2012 Breeding fee will remain at $500
  • Discount of $200 for multi mares. (Ex: First mare- $400, Second mare - $400)
  • LFG
  • Foals eligible for APHA Breeders Trust
Mare Care Packages
  1. FREE Mare Care - Bring your mare when ready to breed. 1 week ( 7 days ) stay - NO MARE CARE! Take her home after 7 days. If mare is left longer then 8 days, regular mare care prices will occur.  Call or email for more details on the free mare care package.
  2. Outdoor Stalling - Mare Owner agrees to pay $7 dry; $10/with foal, for each day the breeding mare is at Sunglow Acres. Brought indoors if raining or bad weather occurs.
  3. Indoor Stalling - Mare Owner agrees to pay $12 dry; $15/with foal; for each day the breeding mare is at Sunglow Acres.
  4. Breeding available between Feb 10 to end of May.  We will NOT be breeding the 3rd week of April and Memorial Day Weekend as will will be attending Iowa and NE shows.   Special consideration for breeding after June 1, late breeding's are no problem just as long as they work around Willie's show schedule.
